Tough Dog Foam Cell Strut Assemblies

The Tough Dog tradition of quality and reliability is carried on in our struts and strut assemblies.

Introduced to Tough Dog around 7 years ago, this shock has proven itself. With a 60mm casing for greater oil capacity and a 40mm internal bore, this shock has proven that it has the pedigree to take you to your destination and back again.

We fitted an external seal to wipe the rod clean BEFORE it hits the main seal thus offering an extra layer of protection. Foam cell technology means that the foam sleeve encapsulates gas bubbles and as the shock heats up the gas expands, placing the oil under pressure thus raising the boiling point of the oil so the shock performs longer. As the gas and the oil cannot mix, there is no chance for the gas to dissolve into the oil and cause “fade”.
